Built as a MkI* and never modified. Transferred to the Queensland Police in 1907 and so marked with “Q.P. 1907” cartouche on the butt and “Q.P.”stamp on the receiver. This rifle has only ever seen police service and has never been through the wars. Thus it is in superb condition with full MkI* specification; all the goodies, rear sight vernier adjustable for windage and elevation, with bone inserts, etc. A fantastic rifle, with clearly inscribed provenance.
