The rarest of all SMLE's, this rifle is a pure MkI which has never been modified or updated. Full MkI specification including earliest cocking piece. First full year of production of the first SMLE. Australian heritage with Department of Defence cartouche on the long butt. Has original barrel worn slightly more than normal EFD standard, which has passed proof. Will rebarrel with new barrel, at cost, if customer wishes.
